Response Time Expectations

We're a small team, but we prioritize support. Here's what to expect:

Critical Issues (login, data loss) Within 24 hours
Bug Reports 1-3 business days
Feature Requests Within 1 week
General Questions 2-4 business days

Business Hours: We respond to emails Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm GMT. Emails sent over the weekend will be answered on Monday.

Quick Troubleshooting

I can't log in to my account
Try these steps:
  • Clear your browser cookies and cache
  • Try a different browser or incognito mode
  • Check if your password is correct (use password reset if needed)
  • Verify your email is correct
If none of these work, email support@ratecheck.app with your email address.
My calculations don't match my accountant's numbers
RateCheck provides estimates based on the data you enter. It doesn't account for:
  • Complex tax situations or deductions
  • VAT registration status
  • Business structure (sole trader vs limited company)
  • Pension contributions and other adjustments
Always consult your accountant for accurate tax calculations and business advice.
Can I export my data?
Yes! You can export your quotes and calculations from your account dashboard. We provide:
  • CSV export for spreadsheet analysis
  • PDF reports for client presentation
  • JSON export for technical users
Look for the "Export" button in your dashboard or quote history.
Is my business data secure?
Yes. We take security seriously:
  • All data encrypted with AES-256 (bank-level encryption)
  • HTTPS/TLS for all connections
  • Database hosted on secure AWS infrastructure via Supabase
  • Row-level security ensures your data is isolated from other users
  • Regular security updates and monitoring

How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account.
  • Export your data first if you need it
  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • All your data will be deleted within 30 days
Or email support@ratecheck.app to request deletion.

RateCheck works best on modern browsers:
  • Chrome/Edge (version 90+)
  • Firefox (version 88+)
  • Safari (version 14+)
  • Mobile browsers (iOS Safari, Chrome for Android)
